Bullet Token
The Bullet token is a network token used to keep the Bullet network operational. There are several sources of token utility.
Gas Fees: Users of the chain will use the token to pay gas fees for transactions on the network, acting as a spam deterrent mechanism and covering a part of the cost of writing the transaction data to Solana. For more information refer to Gas & Paymaster.
Network Operation: There are several key roles that nodes play which keep the network operational. These nodes will need to stake tokens in order to participate - in return for their activities they will receive network rewards however they will be subject to slashing if they submit false transaction attestations or otherwise harm the integrity of the network.
Staking: Users will be able to stake tokens to reputable nodes which operate the network in order to boost the security of the network and to share in the network rewards. Similarly to L1s, the core governance will also be facilitated by the staking mechanism.
Trading Fee Discounts: Stakers will receive fee discounts on their usage of the core DeFi primitives (e.g. more favourable VIP perp trading fee tiers).
Fee Switch: As the protocol continues to scale, there may be opportunities to optimize how fees contribute to ecosystem sustainability. One potential pathway is directing a portion of the revenue generated by the trading primitives towards mechanisms that reinforce long-term alignment between users, builders, and governance participants.

We will also introduce a small amount of inflation which is necessary for network tokens to ensure the continued incentivization of network operators.
